This drawing might call to mind the textures of tree bark, rock formations from arid desert landscapes, the swirling of galaxies, or something entirely unique to you, the viewer. I’m drawn to abstraction because it is open ended, inviting both artist and viewer to find multiple points of connection and meaning in each work. Like my creative process, abstract art embraces both mystery and directness. The marks I make are straightforward and direct while the subject matter is undefined and fluid.
