PROJECT BACKGROUND:Â Northwood Ravin is partnering with Oakhurst Realty Partners to bring dynamic retailers to “Halo Decatur”, including Galore Market, a neighborhood market concept from the creators of O4W Market near Krog Street. The development also features live-work units with dedicated street-level entrances, perfect for entrepreneurs and small business owners. In collaboration with the Decatur Artist Alliance, Halo will host Canvas Artist Studios, offering resident artists free studio and gallery space. Community input will help select mural artists, ensuring Halo remains a hub for creativity and engagement.
ARTIST ELIGIBILITY: Decatur Arts Alliance invites submissions from artists who are eligible to work in the United States. Qualified applicants for the largest mural, “Garage Mural”, will have a proven body of large-scale mural installations. Local and regional artists will be prioritized for the smaller four murals.
