Applications open January 6 - February 23 for the third annual juried community exhibition showcasing at the Decatur Arts Alliance gallery. This year's theme, "Turbulence," invites artists to submit up to 3 artworks exploring the trials, troubles, and triumphs we experience when faced with tempestuous circumstances.
This 6 week watercolor course is appropriate for all experience levels, as limited class sizes allow for individual instruction.
A unique opportunity for students in grades K-12 to coordinate their own youth arts festival, YEA! allows young artists to gain practical experience in event organization, marketing, presentation, and sales. Student artists present their handcrafted goods in an artist market while young performers showcase their talent on a performance stage. Decatur Arts Alliance provides the venue, tables, and event necessities; the student artists coordinate the rest!
This project-based course in printmaking will build your skills (and portfolio!) with a linocut process, plexiglass etching, and collograph technique.
