A unique opportunity for students in grades K-12 to coordinate their own youth arts festival, YEA! allows young artists to gain practical experience in event organization, marketing, presentation, and sales.

Student artists present their handcrafted goods in an artist market while young performers showcase their talent on a performance stage.  Decatur Arts Alliance provides the venue, tables, and event necessities; the student artists coordinate the rest!

As part of Legacy Park's "Community Day" on Saturday, April 26, the Hyatt Cottage will host an Open Studio Day between 11am and 2pm. Stop by to meet the studio artists, learn more about their processes and work spaces, and enjoy light refreshments! Legacy Park will host market vendors, food vendors, and family fun activities during the day, so add an art stop to your to-do list.

Beginning with the Artwalk on Friday night from 6-10pm, Downtown Decatur becomes a haven for the arts May 2-4, 2025. Over 60 live performances, 140 artist booths, the Fine Arts Exhibition, and more bring the community together for this free, annual event.

The Fine Arts Exhibition is presented in conjunction with the Decatur Arts Festival and features a diverse range of mediums. It will be on view in the Fourth Floor Gallery of the Decatur Library from May 2 - June 13, 2025.

Entirely organized through the goodwill and generosity of the community, Oakhurst Porchfest brings together an enormous assortment of musical styles for a day of neighborly connection.  This grassroots event facilitates around 200 porch performances annually.  No tickets, reservations, or fees; just a great day of good vibes.
