“Return to Catlandia” – a Tom Zarrilli Exhibition
Decatur Arts Alliance 113 Clairemont Ave, Decatur, GA‘Return to Catlandia’ features 20+ conceptual paintings depicting the fanciful dreams and fantasies of Zarrilli’s cats, Joey and Petey. These favorite artistic subjects find themselves in settings and situations that explore current realities through a colorful and inversive world.
Applications Open: Artist Studios
Hyatt Cottage at Legacy Park 500 S. Columbia Dr., Decatur, GA, United StatesVisual artists are invited to apply for a one year lease of a private, air-conditioned studio space in the Hyatt Cottage (the first of four buildings to come online as part of the "Creative Village" in Legacy Park). Seven studios of various sizes are available, with shared community space that can be used for galleries, classes, and/or performances. Studio artists are required to participate in quarterly open studio nights/days, as scheduled by the Decatur Arts Alliance.

#LookUpDecatur Decommissioned Signs Exhibition

Columbia Dr., Decatur, GA, United StatesA new round of #LookUpDecatur signs have been installed on lamp posts and street signs around Downtown Decatur, which means the decommissioned artworks will be on view for a final send-off. The FIRST exhibition to showcase in the newly renovated Hyatt Cottage, one of four buildings comprising the Creative Village in Legacy Park, this is your chance to take home unique artworks crafted by local artists - and an exciting opportunity to see the new space for creative development. #LookUpDecatur is coordinated by Larry Holland of Fishbone Art and funded by the Decatur Arts Alliance.

This juried exhibition aims to celebrate and showcase the rich and diverse heritage of Latinx and Hispanic culture. This year’s theme, “reflections:reflexiones”, invites artists to submit works that explore, reflect, and honor their experience of cultural legacy in 2024. Join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a street market closing reception, filled with traditional food, lively music, and local artists.
