Collage- it’s more than just cutting paper. Expand your skills, knowledge and expertise in this collage making course. The class will explore materials, media, and styles of both collage and assemblage. During this course, students will create several collage pieces. Artists are also invited to receive advice and assistance on any collage pieces they’re currently working on or have planned. Limited source materials from magazines and ephemera will be made available to students, but participants are encouraged to bring their own materials to use and/or share.
The class will cover:
- Tools, materials and resources for creating collage
- Composition, style and form
- Using digital resources and tools
- Creating multi layered 3 D effects
- Mounting framing and presentation techniques
Tom Zarrilli is an Atlanta based artist who has exhibited his work throughout the USA. He is the former gallery director of the 378 Gallery in Atlanta. He creates art in a variety of media including painting, photography, ceramics, conceptual work and collage.
