Strata XXVI is part of an ongoing series about landscape, memory, stories and ritual. Non literate cultures often use myth and rituals performed at sacred sites in the landscape to store knowledge within the memories of important members of their society. The land also tells us its own story which is most strikingly seen in the strata layers visible near my home in Colorado. My work tries to bridge these many ideas in interesting ways.
