Decatur artist and arts instigator Larry Holland is busy extending the #lookupdecatur series of artworks placed high overhead on utility poles all around downtown Decatur.

Working with an existing group of diverse local artists that Larry Holland has curated, #lookupdecatur signs dedicated to social justice and racial equity will soon be installed on utility poles along North McDonough Street from city hall to the intersection of West Howard Avenue.

“We are committed and excited to embark on high profile public arts projects that address current issues in powerful ways that are distinctly Decatur,” says Angie Macon, executive director of the Decatur Arts Alliance. “This is just the first of many projects we have planned, so stay tuned to the arts scene in Decatur.”
