We believe the best way to support the Black Lives Matter movement is not just by showing art that supports the movement, but by investing money and providing opportunities to Black artists to create the work. By taking this extra step to hear project proposals, the community is better served by art that encourages thought and meaningful conversation.

Using the funds allocated for this project, we propose an open call for Black artists and creatives for public art installations at the East Lake, Decatur, and Avondale MARTA Stations. The MARTA Artbound program has tentatively agreed to contribute 15,000 to the project.

The work should be original, site specific and remain at each station for up to one year. Working with MARTA Artbound, we will expedite the call so that the work can be installed within the next three months.
